Hi.
I have just recently started getting error messages from paypal on a site that has been running ubercart 1.x and drupal 5.x for over a year now.

Several orders have gone through before we started getting this message via email coming from paypal.

Here is the message from the emails:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello ...,
Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) messages. Messages sent to the following URL(s) are not being received:
http://[site].com/uc_paypal/ipn/17
If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information.
Once you or your service provider fix this problem, you or your service provider can resend the failed messages from the IPN History page. If this problem continues, PayPal may disable the IPN feature for your account.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.
Thanks,
PayPal
The one thing I see about this is that the uc_paypal directory would not be in the root location... it would be down in the sites/all/modules folder at least.
So... is there a place in paypal that needs to be updated with the correct path/url for the IPN info from ubercart?
This is my guess so far. I just don't recall ever having to set this up before.
Any tips are appreciated.
Thanks.
Re: getting an error from paypal on IPN... all of a sudden
Have you changed anything? Has your hosting provider changed anything?
Re: Re: getting an error from paypal on IPN... all of a sudden
Hi Thanks. No I don't know of anything that has been changed. But I'm on a shared environment so possibly something has been changed.
I could request it to be changed back if I only knew what to ask about.
A followup to my original message... I read on here (somewhere) to make sure the paypal setting is set to Disabled and the url box is left blank.
That is how mine is now.
Maybe paypal has changed something.
Re: getting an error from paypal on IPN... all of a sudden
I recently started getting these emails from Paypal as well, and not sure how to respond. I'm using PP WPPro with UC and have processed a few orders without any hitches. Since WPP doesn't even use IPN, I suspect something has changed on PayPal's side and they want to ping a specific URL to ensure the IPN works.
I'm going to do nothing for now and see what happens. I'll post an update after getting my next sale. Please share your experiences if you have any. Thanks.
