I apologize if this is the wrong forum to be asking this. I would like to know if there is a way to have Ubercart products that are related to what a potential customer might be reading to show up either in a block next to the content, or or just below the content. I would assume I'd use taxonomy as my linking tool? And probably Views to setup the block?

Two options
You have two options that I know of...
1 - UC views related products. (I think a default view for this ships with Ubercart)
2 - Upsell. You can create relationships here.

Thanks for that information. The views in uc_views look helpful for other ideas on the site.
I think I was unclear in my intentions on what I was looking for. I would like to relate products to different content (blog postings, specifically). So if a visitor is reading about phones, there will be a block serving up phone accessories that we have in our store. The related products (products related to other products) is certainly useful also though. Thanks, I hadn't thought of that.

RelatedContent enables site maintainers to easily select on a per-node basis what nodes should be displayed along with it. Nodes that are available for selection are provided by one or more views, provided by the Views module. How the nodes are displayed is configurable, as well as themeable. The module also provide a small but powerful API for advanced users.
