I've been doing a lot of research over the past few weeks, trying to decide between Joomla! and Drupal, VirtueMart and Ubercart. I want desperately to use Ubercart and Drupal but I need to pick your brains...

Using Ubercart and perhaps some coontributed modules, how might I be able to "sell" sponsoring a child? Obviously this would be a 1 quantity product, reoccuring, and tied to the sponsor (buyer). I'd also like to be able to store the purchase and relationship within CiviCRM.

What do you guys think? I'm hopin for some clear direction... I've done enough research to know that it's very possible, I'm just missing the particular know-how. Smiling

Well, your monthly charge is easily handled by the "uc_recurring" module. As for CiviCRM, there is a generic Drupal integration, but I couldn't tell you to what degree it will work with Ubercart.

Ah yes, I've seen that module... I plan to be using it for sure. The only things that kid of worry me is: once a product is bought, is there a way to display a status like "sponsored"? And how would that subscription be connected to the buyer where I can access it side- wide?
