Hi,

thought I'd post here before posting to Issue tracker as well. I am new to Ubercart and have a local install on a Mac MAMP setup. Everything seems to work smoothly but when I define an attribute with 3 options rather that get an option list on the product page I get a text field, which means that the user cannot choose an option. If I type something in the text field - it shows up in the cart description of the product.

This is a clean drupal installation (latest stable version) and latest ubercart version.

Thanks for any pointers

Ok - Figured out what the issue is. I had to then choose the default option and tick all the relevant options for the attribute under product edit. Might be worth adding something pointing this out. Currently under Attributes in Product Edit you have this text "Select attributes to add to this product. Then, choose a default option for each attribute." - might be worth simply saying "Click on Options to activate them and select the default one". Simply because one assumes that the options associated with an attribute would be attached to it and active automatically, with the first one being the default and not that you would have to explicitly say it under Product (although I understand why it is nice to be able to customise it per product)

Overall looking forward to learning Ubercart a bit more. I actually installed Drupal e-commerce as well but Ubercart strikes me as a more elegant solution so hope to be able to contribute in the development as well.

Welcome aboard, istos, and thanks for the UI feedback. It helps a lot, and definitely feel free to post up any other "non-intuitive" forms and settings. Smiling
