Hi all, I've been working on a new site for a friend and have just come up against a wee problem that may be related to this one: http://www.ubercart.org/issue/4505/wrong_node_count_catalog_block_when_u...

Essentially, I set up the catalog and then entered some stock. I then moved one term in the catalog to be a sub-term of another. The items of stock relateed to the master term were also related to the other term before I moved it... and now I have a node count that has doubled up. This might not make a lot of sense but its driving me nuts. I believe from the post above that the count is cached, but I have cleared all the caches over and over to no avail... I've also gone and hacked at the database to manually clear the caches.

The only thing I can think of (actually just thought of it now) is that it might be a conflict between the fact I had both terms selected in each product, and now I have effectively joined those two terms together. I'll check that shortly (ie: I'll try just choosing one term in the product edit page)... but even so, its a little confusing and if there is a simple fix I'd be interested to know.

Cheers

Steve

Fixed.By editing the product

Fixed.By editing the product and just selecting what is now the sub-category for that product the count is resolved. Is it possible (or sensible?) to have the code that counts check to see if any super-categories are also selected so that this doesn't occur? Or is this by design for some other reason? Or am I the only person who shuffles things around and has come up against this?

Cheers

Re: Fixed.By editing the product

the only problem that i see with just selecting the subcategory is that when a user clicks on the main category the product won't show up, unless when posting the product you do multiple select and choose both the main and subcategory....I noticed my node counts are way off too, and i can't get it to work properly...
