Hi all,

I am making a website for a client http://webstore.birdcareco.com

On the Catalog, I want to place all of the products in a grid view (e.g 4x7 table) so that the products appear better. I also want to make sure that there are 21 products per page.

I am changing these settings on the admin/store/settings/catalog pages but absolutely nothing is changing. I have tried clearing my cache and the sites cache but the products just wont change their appearance.

Please can someone help me.

Kind Regards

Tom

Re: Grid View

I'm really not sure what's going on with your site... I go through the menu to your catalog and indeed, your products are listed as a standard node view rather than Ubercart's catalog: http://webstore.birdcareco.com//Catalog/UK/Products?stop_redirect=1

But when I type in /catalog (the path that Ubercart uses by default), I get what looks much more like the standard UC catalog, and then clicking into a category I do see the grid layout: http://webstore.birdcareco.com//catalog/2?stop_redirect=1

The former might be your site's taxonomy pages? How did you create the menu links in the first place? Try enabling the Ubercart catalog block. Would need to poke around more to really see what's going on but hopefully that gives you a nudge in the right direction.

Thanks for your reply. I

Thanks for your reply.

I have followed this general work flow:

Create taxonomy structure

E.G
UK Products
Breeding
Pet Birds
...
EU Products
...

Create URL alias for that taxonomy

E.G Catalog/EU/Bird Lamps taxonomy/term/77

Add alias to menu

Is this the right way?

Thankyou for your reply so far, if needs be, I can give you a temporary login for the site to investigate further should you have time.

Kind Regards

Tom

EDIT: I just worked out it is my aliases that are wrong, but the moment I change the alias, the menu links need updating. I have 9 menus with over 50 items in each. It is completely impractical for me to go through 450 links and change the destination. Is there a way I can edit this in the DB? Each of the 9 menus have the same links within the "Online Store" section.

In addition, do you know how I can programatically set the list position of a product?

Re: Grid View

Still trying to sort this grid view out.

I have changed all the taxonomys and the menu links for the English menu now, but I am now trying to track down the following:

Why the price doesnt show up
Why the Add to cart button doesnt appear.

Sorry, I know this is a very demanding request but I fully appreciate your support. My client is waiting for this to work and Ubercart is by far one of the best shopping carts I have seen allowing me to have reviews and general information pages as well.

There are loads of additional features I need to source and implement, but I need this fundemental one working first.

Kind Regards

Tom

Re: Grid View

Two modules you may find useful:
http://drupal.org/project/taxonomy_menu
http://drupal.org/project/menu_editor

Where are you not seeing the price/add to cart? You may need to enable them for display in the Ubercart fields configuration.

Hi, I will have a look at

Hi,

I will have a look at those modules shortly, thanks for the links Laughing out loud

If I go to http://webstore.birdcareco.com//Catalog/UK/Breeding?stop_redirect=1 for example. the "add to cart" button isnt appearing and neither does the price. Im pretty sure they are enabled.

If you able to have a look I can make you a temporary account, if you wouldnt mind?

Kind Regards

Tom
