Hey guys,
I have a very simple need: I need to be able to set flat rate shipping per country. This seems like it would be easy, but I can't find anything online to guide me. Please help. Thanks!

Re: Flat rate by country

Hi. Were you ever able to accomplish this? I'm looking to restrict the flat-rate shipping method based off of which country is chosen. All I've managed to do is make the shipping option "appear" in the the list when a certain country is chosen, but I'm not seeing a way to force that option to be chosen.

Re: Re: Flat rate by country

well it sounds like you're mostly there. to restrict it to only show for the selected country, you need to add a negate option to the other methods that get displayed if this country is selected

the sites i'm always breaking.... www.sew-la-fabric.com
http://lostpetsla.com (though i hope i never break this one too bad)

Hi, I got this working

Hi,

I got this working working without too much trouble, just using the flatrate module.

To do this, go to: Administer › Store administration › Configuration › Shipping quote settings › Quote Methods › Flat Rate

Add a new flat rate shipping method, give it a name and specify the rate, then save.

Then click on "conditions" next to the method.

Drop down the "Conditions" list and pick "Check an order's shipping country".

You will then get a list of countries (if you need to apply the condition to several countries, hold down the control key while selecting).

Click save changes.

Repeat for each band of countries.

Finally, you'll probably want an "everywhere else" rule. Set it up as above, then select all the countries you've already picked, then tick the "negate this condition" box.

That's all there was to it.

Hope this helps,

James
