I have two shipping types, Priority Mail Envelope and Priority Mail Medium box.

I have a product that is too big for the envelope, so I don't want that option to appear in the order form.

Here are the steps I have tried, with no success.

1. Default is envelope.

2. The order of the shipping options is envelope, then small package

3. The default for the product is Small Package

4. The size of the product is too large for the envelope

The envelope still show as an option. Any suggestionsThanks so much for your help.

Bill

I need an answer to this too.

I have the same problem, I would like to offer next day delivery but only on certain products.

Re: How to exclude certain shipping types for a product?

I've just started poking into this myself and it appears as though you should be able to handle this with the Conditional Actions. You could have products that break whatever your standard rules are to be in a specific class, then turn off those shipping options when that class is present.

I'm about to give this a shot myself. I'll let you know my results when I finish.

Re: Re: How to exclude certain shipping types for a product?

Conditional Actions can be used to negate a shipping type for a specific product, class of products, or products with specific attributes. For my own purposes I generally ship free but needed to negate free shipping for a couple of items. So in my Free Shipping quote conditional action I just had it look for specific products. If the order contained those products then I had it negate the condition (using the checkbox) and that seemed to do the trick.

Seems like you could do something like this for any shipping option.
