ubercart 6x 2.4

Drupal 6.20

email for store set.

when I do a test, I get the email to customer -- but not all customers are receiving.

client is not receiving owner emails about orders at store

client cannot even send invoices -- "mail invoice" successfully by hand. I tested this function as well and it works when I send to any number of my addresses (my domain, .mac and .gmail) but client does not receive.

Client is not happy.

will update this thread as more data gathered.

Re: Many emails from Store not getting through help please!

First thing I would do is make sure the reverse DNS lookup is set up correctly. This basically means that when a client receives an email, it will look up the IP address and check what domains it hosts. If your domain is not on the list, then BAM, the message gets binned. Only your ISP/webhost can set this up for you, so you'll need to get in touch with them and get them to set it up for you.

There are a bunch of other things that could cause your mail to be rejected, but this is the first stumbling block for most sites.

Hope this helps.

This doesn't seem to be an Ubercart problem - it seems related to how you have mail configured on your server. Ubercart uses Drupal functions for sending mail, so you're more likely to find a solution to this by looking through the Drupal forums/issues on drupal.org. One thing you can test is to try to create a new account with your client's e-mail address and see if he receives the new account notification. If that does not get through, then it's clearly a bigger problem. If it does get through, perhaps there's something about the Ubercart invoice or order notification e-mails that's triggering his spam filter. You should be able to find all those missed messages in his spam box if that's the case.
