Some of my products have a youtube video in the body area. In IE and Safari when previewing products and opening thickbox the youtube clip shows up in front of the thickbox. I've posted this problem on the Thickbox bug area, but wanted to see if any of you have seen/solved this problem.

The Sony speakers I have listed on the home page will show you what I'm talking about -

This still an issue for you? Looks fine in the Firefox 2.0.0.8. Can this be fixed through CSS for other browsers?

Actually, firefox is the only browser that doesn't have the problem. Go figure...
I was thinking of applying a z-index, but wasn't sure if CSS was the answer.
I'll take a look.

The z-index didn't seem to work. Within the thickbox module their CSS file has a specified z-index of 100.
I attempted to make a specific div for the youtube file and give it a lower z-index. No go, it still overlapped.
I'll have to dig a little more to see what's going on.

This looks like a flash issue. Try changing your "wmode" parameter on the YouTube clip to "transparent" or "opaque." I didn't see any type param currently; I've seen this issue before and one of those should (hopefully) fix it.x

Rock and roll, that worked. At least in safari I'll have to check IE tomorrow, but I assume it will be good to go.
This was a good reference for wmode -

Thanks.

Re: Re: Youtube overlapping thickbox

nevermind that got fixed.. you have to add wmode="transparent" inside the embed tag not the param tag.
