as you can see the big image is not croped and resized to 700 px like i set it under views, instead it uses the default image size, what to do here?

Where to change that?

I am sure somebody knows this answer right?

your imagefileld styling is telling the page to make it 1000 px wide. YOu need to properly set up a smaller imagecache
