i need to build Ubercart right away. I would like to use D7, but it appears the 3x verions of UC just released.

Will there be a migration tool from D6 to D7?

I will have appx 700 products in the database when I am finished with site.

I do not want to have to reenter all those product nodes.

Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.

There is no need for a separate migration tool. You can simply follow the upgrade steps from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 at http://drupal.org/documentation/upgrade/6/7 and your products and most settings will be transferred over.

The upgrade path still needs some testing, so make a backup first, and if you find any problems please post at http://drupal.org/project/issues/ubercart
