Hiding catalog content

Is it possible to hide certain items on the catalog page?

For example, I sell 3 products:

Product A
Product B
Product C

I no longer sell Product C. However, I don't want to delete the item entirely in the event I sell Product C a month from now. I just want to remove it from the catalog page for the time being so no customers can see it and attempt to purchase it.

Is this possible?

Uncheck the Published checkbox in the Publishing Options of Product C's edit form.
