Attributes and no select box

I've created 2 different attributes:

gender: male / female
tshirt color: black / white
size: small / medium / large

none of them are showing the select box, they all are showing an input box.
i had set up ubercart on a local system and had the attributes working fine.

also, i felt like there was a quantity option, if that's not default, how might i add quantities.

am i forgetting something here? please help.

Well, maybe you forgot to set the options.. if you've already attached these attributes to your product:

Edit your product. In edit mode, go to the options tab (beside attributes tab).
From here, choose the options and set the default option for each attribute.. save. Once done, view product and you should see select boxes with the options you created.

Attributes that have no options set will instead provide textfields, this might be the case for you.

Is there also a way to show and select the attributes as a list of radio-buttons instead of the select box?

This was my bad. There were two areas, if I remember, I had to set the product attributes.
