Dear Everybody,

I am creating a webshop of electrical devices and want to put a cable to the store. I would like to create a cable product and to show that the price of that is 0.5 EUR / item. The length of one item is 1 m. How can I set up, that the customer would be able to order minimum 500 items per order? It means that the minimum order quantity would be 500 m of cable. So the customer can put 501 pieces, or 502 pieces or 9999999 pieces into his/her basket, but cannot put 499 or less pieces. So what is the solution for this?

So 500m is the minimum they can order but can order/add extra wire at 1M increments?

Re: How to set up a minimum order quantity for one product only?

Look into adding product attributes to your product.

For instance, for T-Shirts, you can put a "shirt size" attribute on a product. You put in a list of sizes. For each size, you have the option of putting in how much money that size adds to the price of the product.

You would put in a list of lengths, instead.

So, someone would just order 1 item from you, then select what length they want from a drop-down list. The price would be calculated based on that.

Note: I got this working in Ubercart 2, but haven't tried it in 3.
