Ubergurus-

I need some advice. I have around 100 products on my ecopaper website. I would like to add some CCK fields to my product catalog. For instance, right now the dimensions of the item are in the description but i would like to add a cck_descriptions field.

Since I'm only adding a couple of fields but everything else is the same, is there a good way to proceed? Maybe export my products as a CSV and then import them into the new CCK created content type?

How should i approach this. Is there a module to get this done for me? If so what would that module take. I have 0 progging experience.

Disclaimer: I have only used this for about a month and am begging to figure things out. I have made some changes to the ubercart core to expose functionality that I would like to see in the core.BUT I am not a guru.

There is no harm is opening the product type and adding addition cck fields. They don't overlap existing fields and are quire useful. It is odd that you put the dimenions in the description field since they exist in separate fields below which can be displayed or not. If the dimenions are a fixed set, you might want to think about a category called size. No programming required and is out of the box functionality. Here is an example http://ironpickets.com/ucart/node/26.

Look below the product title and you will see three fields "Gothic", "9/16 square". These are examples examples of a catagory reference.

As for the number of parts, we have about 300 and can understand the pain. I would edit each one after adding the fields.
