Desired delivery date feature?

I need customers to be able to enter desired delivery date during checkout. Searching Ubercart so far showed desired delivery date only as part of payment method (COD). But we'd need it as part of delivery information - or independently (> extra pane?). Are there features/ways for this?
Any idea/hint/help would really be appreciated. (lacking drupal codeing experience)

btw: congrats!! excellent project! (found out just a couple of days ago. Still inquiring but increasingly impressed about your excellent work)

We have done this on one of our shops in conbination with an option to giftwrap the products before shipment. We just created a new pane for that. A nice example on how to create a new pane is in this contribution: http://www.ubercart.org/contrib/877

Well, if we were to put it on ubercart.org we would have to work a lot more on it. Right now the quality of the code isn't good enough. We will probably release it out here when we get the time to look at it.

But it'll be much worse to find what you need in that module, rather than just looking in the module I pointed you to (the gift module is much larger) Smiling
