Can someone please explain why my product images are coming out huge?

http://crash.marketproductions.com/products/gangster-car

Under Config->Media->Image Styles I have everything overridden, so it would seem it should load at a viewable size, but I cant tell what's going wrong.

Any pointers on how to correct this?

TIA,

wm

That's your problem. If you want it to display at a reasonable size then use the default settings. Only change the default when you know what you're doing. Read the FAQ (http://drupal.org/node/1326770) to find out about changing image sizes.

That's a bit harsh and not really helpful - we all have to start out somewhere and the Drupal learning curve isn't the most friendly. Definitely not the most welcoming to a new Drupal / Ubercart user.

WM - sounds like you gone ahead and override the image styles but have you implemented them in the content type display?

Assuming you are using the default ubercart product content type, you'd find that here:

/admin/structure/types/manage/product/display

You'll see format column and then a gear at the end of the row for you image. you'll need to change that to the custom image size you created.

I think I may have covered that off in this video tutorial but am not sure... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbeqlNjBvwQ

hope that helps,
pete

I think you are misinterpreting his "That's your problem. He not saying, its your own problem, fix it yourself. He's saying you overriding the defaults is what is causing the issue.

Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like the original post I replied to was updated. Previously it didn't direct WM to any resources, it just ended at read the FAQ where as it now reads:

Read the FAQ (http://drupal.org/node/1326770) to find out about changing image sizes.

If I missed that the first time I apologize but I was responding to the fact that the comment ended at read the FAQ rather than directing VM to any resources, of which it now looks like the response does.
