Can you suggest what I might investigate to solve this problem? The files that appear in Files for download are not clickable--that is, they are not hyperlinked so that a download option appears. I can view the filenames, but not click and download them.

Yes, that was fixed in the latest bazaar release. http://bazaar.ubercart.org (the link for the tarball is in the top header).

So I should just replace the module with the new one? And then do i have to run update.php or not?

Yup, that fixed it. I guess I need to update more often! Thanks again for the help.

Instead of using the whole bazaar-version, I just replace the uc_file.module and no more problem.
