I'm going to be starting work soon on a site for a compost products company. We will be using Ubercart so that customers can place orders online and have the product delivered to their location. One of the requirements for the site is to be able to calculate the delivery cost based on the zip code of the customer. Is this something Ubercart can handle as is, or will I need to write some custom code to handle this? I've used Ubercart on another site before, so I've played with the built in shipping modules, but I haven't seen anything to handle this (although I'm sure I could be missing something).

Thanks.

Re: Calculating shipping locally by zip code

That's easy. Follow the instructions in the User's Guide for setting up a Flatrate shipping method http://www.ubercart.org/docs/user/309/shipping_quote_settings In your Workflow-ng configuration you can specify a condition to check the destination ZIP and apply the rate only for that ZIP or range of ZIPs. Set up as many different flat rates as you need to cover all your different rates/ZIPs.

Perfect

Beautiful! I was sure there had to be a way and I just wasn't seeing it. Thanks, TR.

Re: Perfect

What about in Ubercart 2.x?

I can't see an appropriate trigger in Conditional Actions.

Thanks
