Good point... I've been thinking about removing that for a while now. Who wants a customer to have easy access to a cancel button? 
Anyways, I don't have time to test to make sure it doesn't negatively affect anything, so I'll build this into a small checkout enhancement contrib I'm putting together. I'll post a link here once it's up.

That's cool Ryan, works great... a big thanks, appreciated! ...one more idea though... is it possible also to have an option to remove the "Back" button on the "review" -page?

You can tweak my code there for the review form and disable the button, but you'll kinda need that if folks need to change some order info.

Thanks for creating this module.
How about enhancing your enhancement a bit to include both the 'Submit' button and the 'Back' button. When the 'Submit' button is clicked, I don't want a customer to accidently click the 'Back' button while the order is being processed - and visa-versa.
