Is cart-less checkout possible?

Ubercart looks fantastic, and I would definitely use it if I had a lot of products to sell.

As it happens, my site only sells one product, though, and I'd like users to be able to complete their purchases as quickly and easily as possible. Basically, when they click "order now" next to my product, they should be taken to a page that lets them input shipping and billing details, etc., without an intermediate step.

In addition to this, I've already got a site layout in place, and don't want to replace it with the two-column layout that seems to be part of Ubercart. But Ubercart's order details input screen is the best I've seen anywhere, so I'd really like to use it if possible.

So my questions are these:
(1) Is there a way to streamline checkouts so that all the work gets done from one page, and I never need to have a "shopping cart" or expect users to click "checkout" in between when they click "order now!" and when they input their details?

(2) Can I run this all from within a single div tag? The way my site's set up, it really needs to keep the checkout process self-contained within a single div. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. This system looks fantastic; thanks to all the developers for their hard work and for making this freely available.

g_h_t, I think the Cart Links API contrib module is what you are looking for. It will let you create a button that will add your product to the cart and take your customer directly to the checkout page.
