Hi, this may be the wrong place to ask or just not possible...
Basically, I will be selling a file download which is the contact details of the person ( a business lead ) detailed in my Product node ( the default node plus various cck fields).

However what I'd really like is to include the critical 'contact' details on the node creation form, and hide them from all users, and then, have that whole node converted to a file for download (with the hidden fields now visible)and automatically stored in the downloads folder, without having to type up the whole thing as, for example, a seperate .txt file, and then move that to the downloads folder.

This may be completely impossible, I'm just trying to streamline the process for the person who'll be using the system.

I did initially look at Role Assignments as an option - if the view of this is that it would really be better than file downloads, maybe i'll look at at that again.
