bzr on linux

does anybody know how to get past this error on linux (centos 5)?

bzr checkout http://bazaar.ubercart.org/ubercart/alpha/ubercart
bzr: ERROR: Cannot lock: transport is read only:

what's odd is i believe i was able to check out the code on another linux centos 5 box about a month ago. For some reason this is not working and google searches aren't turning up anything that makes sense as far as how to fix it.

fixed it.. needed the latest version plus follow instructions in INSTALL file. ol' bzr could be a little more clear about what to install Eye-wink
