In the Users Guide, it says that the URL for the Product Catalog can be changed via a textield at Admin > Store Admin > Configuration > Catalog Settings. However, when I go there, although the 'Overview' tab includes the information, "The base URL pointing to the catalog is catalog," the 'Edit' tab doesn't give me any way to change that. In that tab, I get three collapsible panes, labelled 'Catalog top level,' 'Catalog block settings,' and 'Catalog products list,' which give checkboxes for a number of settings, select lists for the catalog vocabulary and grid with, and a textfield for the number of nodes displayed per page. I could have sworn that I was able to change the base URL previously, but now I am flummoxed. Did I somehow make the URL textfield go away? And if I can't make it come back, will it work to set the catalog URL via the path or pathauto modules?

Basic info: UC 1.0 RC4, Drupal 5.7

Thanks,

-Tortoise

Re: Changing catalog URL

Noob here may be stupid but at a guess make a new vocabulary in the categories thing and then in catalog settings select the new vocabulary?

I could be off the mark, looks to me like that could work Smiling

Re: Changing catalog URL

You can make a new URL Alias under Site Building with the path module. It's part of Drupal core, and may already be enabled. For the rest of the catalog, you should use Pathauto.

Re: Changing catalog URL

How do you change the actually catalog nodes? ie. catalog/1
You cannot do it the way you are saying above.
