I ship light items. Many of them go out by USPS First Class Parcel. I will typically end up with a 6 to 10 ounce package, with 1 to 5 ounces of actual product. This means the USPS quote will be too low; easily accounted for by adding a markup. However there is no separation for First Class International Parcel. The price goes up much faster, so even with the markup I give quotes for $4 when the actual price with packaging will be over $9. If I mark up more, or raise the weight of each item, then I overcharge non-international customers.
I notice that someone had brought this issue up a year or two ago. Is there any way to add a base weight to the shipping quote of each product yet? Or, a way to have different shipping price markups for USPS and USPS International?
