I may just be missing the howto here but am having trouble with the product options. It seems that I am unable to add any detailed description with each atribute. Also when an options is selected it doesn't appear to update the display price.
product attribute options missing functionality

Hi fourcws,
Indeed, long descriptions in attributes &options are not possible (for the moment).
To update a display price, you could use the AAC contrib module here:
http://www.ubercart.org/contrib/2010
Good luck!
Thanks for the link.
Seems to me we had a discussion about option descriptions a few months back. I wonder if this feature is being considered for inclusion in future release?
Not sure what you mean by option descriptions.
I think I did add in attribute description text (that small help text below form widgets), but it sounds like you're looking for something different?
Thanks Ryan, am looking for a blurbage field (long description) for each option. am PM you URL so you can see.
Checked it out. Really, this is a limitation of the Forms API in that individual radio buttons in a radio select group can't have their own description text. Your options are to either include the description in the product node's body or to maybe do that in a custom textfield that you theme to only display the text related to the select option. This could be done w/ some jQuery/tabs magic I'm sure.
Damm the limitations anyway
For this option set, billing radio buttons seemed the way to go as I don't want to be able to choose more than one option. The next point is what about the default select when setting this up. I have this checked but when you view the product neither option is selected. Any Ideas?
Hmm... not sure about defaults not working properly. I think that caught my attention when I was viewing your site, too. It might just be you need to make sure you're running the 1.0 code or later.
EDIT: I take it back. It looks like this is an outstanding problem... I think it may have been discussed elsewhere. I believe default may only apply for non-required attributes, with the thought being that if it's important enough to be required, you don't want folks adding the product to the cart without thinking about their option selections.
I see your logic.
On RC2 choosing a default option on a required attribute was greyed out. However, on RC4 it is no longer greyed out. So when I select the now available default it does not show up when attempting to add to cart. so, naturally I assumed the functionality was intended but not working.
It may be best to wait for more user input on this item before changing your logic on this. As, it is sound. If I were to have a required option of say color and it defaulted to say orange and customer really wanted blue but in a hurry just added to the cart w/o being forced to make that choice, I could have a very unhappy customer when they get the item.
