Order online... pay in store.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I'm still navigating through all this.

I am attempting to set up a site where customers place their order and then come in to pay.

Currently it's done by fax, and due to security, identity theft issues, etc, payments are made it person.

I've been playing with ubercart but I don't see an option for NOT paying online.

What did I miss?

Thanks

If you're not taking online payments then I don't see a point using Ubercart at all.
Just make a custom "order" node type, let anonymous users create nodes of that type. This will let them submit the information you require, and then pay in-store.

You could also just not turn payment options in and make sure customers know they have to come to the store to pay. Smiling If you really need a store pickup payment method, you can try modifying one of the existing payment method contributions to make one.

Well...... as I said, currently customers fax in their orders. I was looking at a more "modern" option. Smiling

I orginally was looking at an online form, but none I have found store customer information.... or are worth what they charge.

You can also use "Other" or "Cash on Delivery" payment methods from the "Payment Method Pack" module to mimick this.

I saw that. Thanks.

So... the text field... can that be adjusted?

I'm looking to add a "special instructions", comments, or similar text area field for certain items.

Is there an easy way to do this?
