I have a mostly online store and am accepting payments through paypal. I will occasionally make in person sales and will most likely be entering them manually through the admin interface. For these in person sales, I would like to be able to accept cash or check or other forms of payments. I tried the check/COD module but I couldn't find any way to restrict it to only admin users. I don't want internet purchasers selecting anything other than paypal. Is there any way to accomplish this?

You can accomplish this with custom code, but there is no existing user interface for such a feature.

Pasted from another post... I think this should solve your issue:

It seems you want to accept checks and be able to enter them when creating an order through the admin interface. Such seems to be possible with just the Ubercart check/COD module. On the payments tab after creating an order, one can select check as payment method, enter the details of the check for record purposes and set the order status to payment received. Meanwhile, check/cod can be disabled as a payment method (customers can't use it), while being enabled as a module.
