I'm stuck with categories during my build of my web shop and here is where I'm stuck.
1. I created terms inside of my Catalog category Baby Boy and Baby Girl, below that I created sub terms 0-3 Months, 3-6 Months, 6-9 Months (baby shop)
2. I added sub terms for the age categories like tops, bottoms, sets, bodysuits and I added each sub term to the age terms (listed above) and below each gender thinking that this would save me time from having to retype each sub term and map it individually
3. I added a product in Baby Girl for age 0-3 Months in bodysuits
4. I check the Catalog page and I notice that the product is in both Baby Girl and Baby Boy Catalog under 0-3 Months and bodysuits
Why is it that despite me selecting a specific Gender, Age and sub term it still maps it all across? I can't imagine Categories is so poorly designed that it would allow me do to what I just did and I chalk it up to me not having enough knowledge but should I change that thought?
Is there a way to have multiple categories like Gender, Age, Type and it being part of the catalog view? Reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking that if I follow how taxonomy/categories are thought to work then I shouldn't have one category with both age, gender, type because that doesn't provide a good taxonomy structure and sorting feature. Am I wrong?
