Gift Cards

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone was working on a gift card / gift certificate feature. I noticed on the livetest site at: http://livetest.ubercart.org/node/61 that a gift card may be in development. If anybody has any example code or suggestions on how to implement this please let me know.
Hmm... I actually don't think anyone is working on this (or at least is working on it and letting others know about it). That product was really just a test case I made a while back to show someone an example of a product to recharge a gift card number.  Hi Ryan, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. We are involved in several projects using Ubercart at the moment and plan on using Ubercart extensively in future projects. We find the code base much easier to work with compared to Zen Cart/OScommerce and the e-commerce Drupal module. If you have any sample code, we would consider using it as a basis for developing a gift certificate module. Alternatively, any direction on how to begin constructing a gift card module would be appreciated. Ubercart Rocks! BTW, we know you were the Quickbooks guy for OScommerce...how is it going with Ubercart so far? Cheers! I actually looked into the Userpoints module a while back when we were looking to make a Frequent Shoppers Rewards program, and found that it actually has a feature where one can purchase userpoints, which in turn can be used on the site to make purchases. If we can somehow implement the module so it works on Ubercart, then it would be possible to make it a gift certificate system. Thanks for the tip mizru. I will look into the userpoints module. Userpoints is the module the UC guys are using here which is the "Juice" feature. I looked into Userpoints as well, but found it a little buggy. Attempting to give points from an admin didn't quite "take" and there were other issues, which weren't a priority. I'll probably look into it again, however. If you make any progress or otherwise, I'd be interested in reading about it! Good luck!
