We're running final tests on our client's cart, and this is what's going on:

The client gets to the checkout screen. If she enters no CVV, she gets a message telling her the order is incomplete, and to fill out that field… even though it is apparently not required by paypal.

If she enters a CVV, she gets an error telling her that there was a problem processing her credit card… and yet the order *does* go through, paypal takes her money, and the orders screen on the backend shows this:

09/18/2008
11:22:00 AM-Payment failed.
Warning: This transaction was approved. However, the Card Security Code provided had too few, too many, or invalid character types but, as per your account option settings, was not required in the approval process.
Address: Address and postal code matched
CVV2: Not checked 0

9/18/2008
11:22:02 AM-PayPal IPN reported a payment of 24.75 USD.

is there a way to just remove CVV checking from the form, since paypal seems not to care anyway? or how else might this confusing experience be worked around?

Re: credit card cvv mangling the flow

You can do it through the credit card settings in the payment method settings form. Smiling

CVV checking

I'm seeing this same issue here.

Where is the setting that is referred to in this error message? I would like to have Ubercart *not* go ahead and process the order if the CVV code doesn't match. Is that done on the PayPal end?

Re: CVV checking

Also can't seem to find this setting inside of UC.
I did find it on paypal. But it requires an upgrade of 20$ a month to be able to decline mismatched CVV's. Its under Fraud management once u log into paypal.

Really wish there was just an option inside UC to decline the order. The only options i see that are remotely close are "Validate credit card numbers at checkout." & "Attempt to process credit card payments at checkout." both are checked.

Thanks again for this awesome e-commerce package Smiling

Where did you find the fraud management section? I can't seem to find it.

Same issue error message and multiple transactions occurring. It appears to be telling the customer that the transaction did not go through when it actually did.

Has anyone found a solution, or least what is causing it?

10571. This transaction was approved. However, the Card Security Code provided had too few, too many, or invalid character types but, as per your account option settings, was not required in the approval process.

CVV

Hi
I'm very new in this game, please help me where I can find my CVV inside the card?
which EF holds the CVV or with which C-APDU I can access to CVV of the card.

Thanks
