We're running final tests on our client's cart, and this is what's going on:
The client gets to the checkout screen. If she enters no CVV, she gets a message telling her the order is incomplete, and to fill out that field… even though it is apparently not required by paypal.
If she enters a CVV, she gets an error telling her that there was a problem processing her credit card… and yet the order *does* go through, paypal takes her money, and the orders screen on the backend shows this:
09/18/2008 11:22:00 AM-Payment failed. Warning: This transaction was approved. However, the Card Security Code provided had too few, too many, or invalid character types but, as per your account option settings, was not required in the approval process. Address: Address and postal code matched CVV2: Not checked 0 9/18/2008 11:22:02 AM-PayPal IPN reported a payment of 24.75 USD.
is there a way to just remove CVV checking from the form, since paypal seems not to care anyway? or how else might this confusing experience be worked around?
