I am interested in setting up a role-based monthly subscription based service to digital content.
I'm a completely new to both Drupal and Ubercart. I am wondering how I want to either remove or modify the checkout process on the individual products, which have been linked to associated downloadable files, such that credit card would not have to be processed or checked if the user has already been subscribed. How exactly am I looking to have this run?
I am also interested in setting a monthly limit (cap) on quantity of different downloads. The desired functionality is such that once a user downloads a file, he has complete access to it for repetitive downloads until his account closes, however he is capped on the number of additional new files he may download per month. For example, if he's accessed 20 files online, he'll have constant access to those 20 files, and a new month arrives, now he can download an additional 10 files separate from the 20 he already has access to, but no more than that.
