When an order is placed, is there a setting to send an email to the store owner about the order?
I have ubercart notify and the notification module enabled, but don't see any ubercart settings for this.

it's on this screen:

under the title/link "Admin checkout notification" you can check the box to "Send new order notifications to the e-mail addresses specified below." you can also select a template here or write your own message in the text area. check that the email address is correct here, too.

Give this a try.
admin/store/settings/notify/edit/checkout and go to the "Admin Checkout Notification" block. And under "Notification recipients:" add the email address or addresses that require the notification email.
There is also a setting for sending a email to the customer. But if using PayPal this one is not necessary IMO as PayPal also provides notification.

Notification emails are different in 2.x
All's I know is 2.x does not use the notifications module like 1.x. The delivery mechanism has changed. Keep looking. It's covered in another post.

Good call, tekad. I also put up a preliminary documentation page for e-mail notifications that we can build on as we go.
Why I can't find 'Admin checkout notification' link
I have one problem before release the project to a client.
The problem is Admin didn;t received any email notifications on
any orders.
Why i can;t see this link in my project:

I have download and installed 'notifications module'. But still can;t find
'fieldset called Admin checkout notification'

..pretty sure you can just update the [drupal] site email address. There's no need to go mess with the conditional actions if you just want to change the notification address.

Problem with my shop, i suddenly don't get order notification anymore, do you have any idea ?
I also get this error from uc_paypal :
IPN failed with HTTP error Connection timed out, code -110.

me neither
just got the last mail 2 orders before
and now the shop is public so its more importent to get notified
edit: i think drupal istn sending mails at all only through the contact form?!
the thing is we r using google apps...so google is managing the sending stuff and not our host 1blu...
edit2: okay the customer gets the confirmation mail about the order
and new user are getting the mail about their account
but im not getting any mails about new orders and the customer dont get mails about a new order status
thats a bit weird isnt it?
kay solved the problem
just reseted the conditional action for the admin notification..now its workin again
dont know what i changed..but doesnt matter any more 
the status thing:
i didnt realised that the action isnt sending a mail if its the "on checkout" status (im not sure about the proper translation at the moment..im using the german version)
i dont know what thats good for?
but i just deleted the condition so this one is workin as well =)
