My main file field's machine name is "download" and in the marketplace settings I have lised that name as the name that will be used to create product files. That all works fine. However I wanted to create a file field that would display preview files that could be downloaded straight from the product page. So I created a second file field called "preview_files" However even though the machine name is different it still automatically commits the files from the preview_files field to product feautures. Is this supposed to happen?

The use of multiple filefields was not considered, so what you are experiencing is most likely an issue with such arrangement. Please file a feature request at Drupal.org(http://drupal.org/project/ubercart_marketplace) for such support to be added in a future iteration.
