Any idea when a version for Drupal 6.x will be available? I couldn't seem to find anything about it on the site.

A 6.x branch is already available for download on the ubercart bazaar repository or on the drupal.org website.
If you mean a non-dev release, don't know, I would anticipate the UC team answer : "when it's ready" ^^
But I'm working on 6.x on several website in parrallel. It's pretty usable if you have simple needs.

Thanks, that actually works for me as we are porting a large document management sytem to Drupal. But we need UberCart to handle the subscriptions.
Needless to say, I need that up first so I can validate access to the documents.
We can work with "code in progress".
I am also testing 6.x dev
I have not found any bugs yet, but the uc_discount contributed module is not working for me. The basic cart seems to work completely in my 6.6 drupal test site. I am planning on deploying it by the end of the year and fixing bugs as I find them, or asking for help as I find them.
