Hello all i have always had a very hard time making product images appear sometimes even messing up the rest of the images on my site. Now with the new imagecache module i was hoping for a magical fix but things have just gotten worse.

I removed the old imagecache directory and untared the new module apon running the data upgrage script i got an error about a field existing or not being null something like that. googled around and found a post about adding the imageapi module so did. It also say it should have been installed before image cache so i tried uninstalling and blah blah blah got big broken mess please help my product images do not show up ..... once i got them to display huge. Anyways i am getting this error now as well as page not found for all my products.

* warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists in /var/www/drupal-5.7/sites/all/modules/imagecache/imagecache.module on line 449.

It DOES say Drupal 5.7, which would be several versions behind 5.12, what version of ImageCache are you running?

that is actually just the directory name i did not want to have change all the apache virtual host files so i just copy the new versions of drupal to the old directory. However it it drupal version 5.10 and the latest imagechache version imagecache-5.x-2.2.tar.gz

Our docs recommend ImageCache 1.7 to prevent installation errors. If possible, I'd totally uninstall the 2.x branch and try again using the versions recommended at http://drupal.org/project/ubercart.

Ok i have have disabled and removed pretty much all my modules pertaining to ubercart and downloaded, installed, enabled, all the correct versions as on the ubercart drupal install page. I am still having problems infact when i create a product now i get a drupal page not found window. When i go to my products page i get a list of the products i have created, when i click on a product i seem to get an apache page not found error.

ps there are no images on product page either.

Not really sure what to tell ya here. When you removed the old modules, did you make sure to uninstall them before deleting their directories?

Yes Maybe mostly? Is time to switch back to e-commerce? cause that would suck i like ubercart much better.

heh, you can switch back if you want, but if you didn't fully uninstall a module before dropping in a new version, I don't think that's going to change anything. Smiling You can always try a full uninstall again on the image modules or test on a blank site (not necessarily a full rebuild) with the right modules from the start to make sure it's not a server configuration issue.

I think you misunderstood my last email the last thing i want to do is switch back to e commerce and make an even worse mess of my database/drupal.

Ok i have setup a new site and it seems to be functioning very well, it is a multisite on the same host. Not sure what the differences are but it is nice to see things working However on the broken site i remember messing around with the redirect among other stuff trying to make gallery2 work right before giving up on it.

Any advice would be appreciated ie how to do a complete unistall and reinstall
