hello as admin user 1 i can view products fine but annon users get access denied error. Please help and thank you.

Adjsut the permissions in Admin --> User Management --> Access Controls.

If you have taxonomy access permission installed then you'll also need to give the anonymous role permission to view the catalog and possibly more. So,that's two places you'll have to change permissions.
1. in user access control
2. in taxonomy access permission (/admin/user/taxonomy_access)
