Are there any contrib modules that convert the Packaging/Packages part of the Create order process (on the Ubercart admin side) into an automated process? I'd like the packages created automatically when the product(s) is added to the order. Is this possible?

I don't know of any module doing this at the moment.

I would agree, I am not sure of any value that the packaging has for my store. I thought I might be able to change something with the workflow, but maybe not.

I think that could be a good candidate for a contrib or custom module, but to get it right for every use case would be really difficult. The shipping module was designed with a very complicated workflow in mind. Most people aren't dealing with that kind of complexity, but I still imagine that they have different needs.

Well for what I need, We have maybe a max of 5 Different shipping boxes. If they buy 1 item from retail it gets shipped in BOX A if they buy 2-4 Box B 5-10 Box C. If they have 11 then thats 1 Box C and 1 Box A. I also have a wholesale side which is alot easier... Each Product is a "Box" so each would be their own shipping box.
