UPS Customer Supplied Packaging -- Not PAK

I'm marking this as a bug because the default setting in Ubercart for the UPS packaging type makes it so that UPS ground will never be returned in a rate quote. It takes some digging to realize that you need to change the default from "PAK" to "Customer Supplied Package". 99.9% of the time, people will want UPS Ground rates returned -- and they keep posting questions to the forums for support. So, I'm advocating that the default for new products be "customer supplied package."

This is a good idea. The reason it wasn't before was that choosing "Custom package" causes the length, width, and height to be required fields. Not every product actually needs these (like downloads or role promotions), so I've also added the condition that the shippable flag is checked.

I found this thread infinitely helpful - looking forward to the change to the default settings.

I have a company I am working on that has caused me problems. All of their products are shippable. They have some products with LxWxH and weight, others without. Most items without would be described as small packages. Can anyone give me advice about how to differentiate these in my database. I am weak in sql but can figure it out if guided in the right direction, ie which tables/rows/columns to work on
Thanks
