Robert Douglass recently reported on a few new themes for Drupal, one of those being Pixture. We've been trying to figure out how to take our community site to the next level in terms of usability and project promotion, and Pixture provided an excellent launchpad for the endeavor.

That's right, folks. Not content to have a third release candidate, we traveled into the future to grab the RC 4 and bring it back to the present for your enjoyment! (In actuality, some outdated modules crept back into the RC 3 release that had to be removed... hence the version hopping) This update brings with it many fixes that have been posted by community members that we just could not have found in our testing. Your input has been invaluable, and it shows as more and more the questions in the forums are matters of configuration mix-ups and not of errors in the source. |

Just a quick note to say that the second release candidate has been posted. It came quickly to solve a "show-stopper" regarding product node access control. A few minor issues were also taken care of and are listed in the release notes. This is a lightweight update from RC 1. For more information on the release candidate phase, refer to the previous announcement. |

One of the ideas mentioned in our BoF session at the Boston Drupalcon was to open up a part of Ubercart.org that aggregated content from the sites of our many users and developers. Finally opened today, Planet Ubercart will serve as this single community news source for anyone blogging or posting about Ubercart on their personal sites. |

Ahh, you've been with us for months... You've trudged through the alphas, submitted your patches and features requests, and seen how much you could break in the betas. For our part, we've been busy coding and fixing. Now we can all take a deep breath and enjoy a long awaited entrance into the wonderful world of release candidates. |

Alrighty folks... what should have happened before the Drupalcon has happened today, but it works out in your favor. We've added in a few more bugfixes since then and put up the latest code as the beta 7 release on Drupal.org. Get it while it's hot, update your versions, and refer to this FAQ if you need help figuring out how to complete the update. |

We're back from the conference and trying to recover from the sleepless nights and treks to and fro around Boston. We had a killer time mingling with other Drupal developers and meeting literally dozens of folks who are already using and developing for Ubercart. Many more were there to investigate, and we had a fun time meeting them all. I couldn't walk down a hall without running into someone new who just wanted to applaud Ubercart or pick my brain for a minute. |

Well, we were hoping to move from beta 5 to release candidates, but it's just not going to happen. We're more committed to a solid core than we are to hopping on through development phases as anyone who roughed it through the alpha phase can attest. There were too many minor bugfixes, particularly with a couple queries and admin pages, to consider moving on into release candidate territory. We'll let the beta 6 sit for a while to see what else pops up and maybe get a release candidate out before or during the Boston Drupalcon. |

Drupalcon is getting closer and closer, and we've finally got a place to stay and a way to get there. |

After some in office deliberation and brainstorming, it turns out that Ubercart will be rocking it in Boston March 3-6 at this year's Drupalcon. It wasn't exactly a last minute decision, but it does come after a lot of doubt on our part as to whether we'd be able to attend or not. In the end, it's just an opportunity we can't miss! |
