First of all, you may have noticed the temporary addition to our front page. We're trying to make sure the
King of Denmark gets his
due recognition as the Drupalcon DC
King of Parties. However, he won't be the only one in attendance at the Uberdinner! The whole Uberteam will be there along with at least two dozen people who have given verbal confirmation and others who are sure to arrive. Anyone is welcome to come by... Ubercart users, developers, friends, and those who want to be.

We'll head to the
Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant probably 30 minutes to an hour after the day officially ends to make sure you have enough time to wrap up your conversations and track down that Drupal rock star you wanted to hug. The restaurant is probably close enough to walk, but I suppose we'll let you make the call for yourself. Last time we packed a restaurant out with 30 people... Our phone call leads us to believe they can take 2 to 3 times that number, so don't be bashful! Come join us for some good food and table talk (est. $15-30, depending on how much you love that Ethiopian stout

), and then we can all be fashionably late to the
Chapter Three bash.
In other news... my wife is pregnant, and we wanted to share it with everyone! Tormi said it was worth a front page post, so here it is. We can't wait to have Uberbaby 1.0 and see some orange, Ubershield emblazoned onesies in our child's future. No word on the gender yet, but it's the first child of the new generation on either side of the family, so he/she's sure to be loved. The Uberbaby is due late September, meaning Mrs. Ubercart probably won't make Drupalcon Paris this year. She's totally bummed, and it goes without saying that my attendance will hinge on her status... I wanna be there to deliver the little guy so I can start teaching him to program as soon as possible.
