Don't leave it be... Test the beta 3!

This just in... Sir James L. Mantooth of Louisville, KY, in a heroic post-lunch effort when normal mortals are dozing at the keys managed to single-handedly deploy our changes to Drupal CVS and tag the files for release as Ubercart 2.0-beta3. In other words... woohoo! One step closer to a 2.0 release. Let's keep the ball rolling. Smiling

This release is primarily a bug fix release, with updates going in for order permissions, reports, Google Analytics, and more. A personal victory for me was finally fixing the behavior of the cart breadcrumb and continue shopping element on the cart view form. You can read the commit log of changes in the release notes.

So, for all you beta users, get it while it's hot and let us know where it's not. Not hot. i.e. keep those bug reports coming. Eye-wink Many thanks to the community contributors who continue to provide excellent feedback, patches, and support. We <3 you.

Because this is still a beta version, we strongly recommend testing any beta updates on a test site before attempting it on your production sites. This rings especially true for people wanting to test the update process from Drupal 5.

Great stuff

We'll be building a new site over the next coupla weeks and - now that ubercart 2 is well on it's way - we get to build a drupal 6 site, so thanks to all your hard work I no longer need to struggle with old Views and panels.

Thank you for all your hard work. We'll report any bugs we find.

I want to try this, but I have no idea what it means

Somehow I've managed to stumble this far. 6 hours ago I finally found Drupal, but I need an e-commerce solution, as they say. I'm going to try this, and by Thor's hammer, I will succeed, because I know you f'ers are good. All hail the open source! The underground economy will take the place of the greed based platform.

Re: yeh...didn't work...

I believe you misdiagnosed your issue. I have successfully installed several sites running Ubercart 2 beta 3 on Drupal 6.9 without issue.

Re: Re: yeh...didn't work...

Agreed... I don't know what would be incompatible. The 2.x Livetest is always running the latest code and seems to be bearing up quite admirably. Smiling

Sorry...I was just whining

Thanks to both of you for the encouragement though. Just knowing they work together will spur me on.

so far so great.

The only thing i noticed right away is that the product detail page classes for product_image and display_price changed to product-image and display-price - otherwise totally fine so far

IT works fine on 6+ sites I just checked, you have made tranactions, and waited a day?

Re: Re: Google Analytics doesn't work yet...

It doesn't work for me, unfortunately. Im talking about www.kellyssoftfurnishings.co.uk. I performed live transaction (we use Worldpay as IPP) and waited one day, Ubercart shows order status as "Payment received" but it didn't appear in Ecommerce Overview.

Re: Re: Re: Google Analytics doesn't work yet...

I don't know much about Worldpay, but if you never make it to cart/checkout/complete, then the GA code never gets displayed. There's a hook available for modules to define when the GA code should be included... but let's not discuss that in this news post. Open an issue for that module if you need to debug it. Smiling
