Ubercart 1.0 in the wild!

That's right folks, the 1.0 is running free. Catch it if you can! Cool

So... the release of Ubercart 1.0 for Drupal 5 has finally arrived. We can't believe how far the project has come from its initial Alpha release 15 months ago. Even more, we can't believe how much the community has grown! Releasing code is an achievement, but getting to work together with cool people from around the world on such a fun project is a joy. Thanks go to all you testers, bug fixers, CSS masters, contributors, and users who have made this release possible. Thanks also to the development team for putting it all together and making sure development can happen.

You can grab your copy of Ubercart from our project page and start selling with Drupal today!

Folks updating from previous versions should be sure to read the release notes for each intermediate version before doing a full-scale upgrade to the 1.0. Changes were made that may affect the core and/or contributed modules your site depends on, particularly folks who accept credit card payments through their Ubercart checkout.

If you're new to updating a Drupal module, you should review this FAQ.

If you're new to Ubercart in general, get started in our User's Guide and don't be shy about posting for support in the forums. There are some awesome folks about who are happy to help you use Ubercart well.

I just upgraded http://www.growinggreenfarms.com/ and everything is spiffy so far.

The Update Status module tells me that there is a security problem with 1.0 and that I should update to RC5, but I'm going to write that off as a quirk of Update Status. Most of the RC upgrades gave me similar messages for at least a day or two.

The moment we've all been waiting for...

The developers of Ubercart are indeed giants, what they've put together in a year and a half surpasses many of the other shopping carts out there that have been stabbing at this ecommerce monster for almost a decade.

Personally, we are migrating from Xcart. It was good to us and I loved it until I discovered Drupal, now only Drupal will do, and for ecommerce, only Ubercart will do.

It still needs a lot of work... but as I've been told "you need to leave something for tomorrow."

After updat site stop working

This is what i see after i update the code to 1.0 and run update.php

Fatal error: Call to undefined function uc_currency_format() in /home/aptana/domains/spectrstore.aptanacloud.com/web/htdocs/modules/ubercart/uc_catalog/uc_catalog.module on line 996

Can anyone help me?

devilcoders, seems like some files are missing. Try to reupload the module and see if that helps.

Fantastic job on the release guys! Ubercart rocks and you guys have done a great job putting everything together.

I've tried the other Drupal ecommerce module and it's quite refreshing to leave it for something like Ubercart that does everything right from the start, just like Drupal core.

I have been keenly watching Ubercart for well over a year, and hoping the whole time that this day would come. I began using Ubercart recently (after watching and waiting) and have been very pleased with all aspects of it. Truly and amazing collection of code, and a great community.
