Lullabot recently announced a Drupal training conference called Do It With Drupal which will go above and beyond their normal, sold-out workshops. Attendees can expect to learn a lot about Drupal and its major contributed modules from the developers themselves. If you're investigating Drupal or Ubercart for your business or are considering developing sites more regularly, I highly recommend looking into this conference. It'll be worth the price!

Here's an announcement everyone who uses this site can appreciate... we now have a vastly improved search system courtesy of Mike O'Connor who took the time during and after Ubercamp to install and configure Apache Solr. This provides much faster searching and a few very handy blocks that let you sort and filter your search results!

Well, I'm heading out for the day without accomplishing much coding... those days aren't as much fun as the days we get to hack away on core, but we did manage to get other Ubercart related work done. |

Well, we've got several folks in from out of town and are about to head out to the lake for Ubercamp... but first we tested and fixed a few remaining issues with Ubercart 1.0. The bug fix release 1.1 is now available from our project page, so get to updating your site and keep up the great feedback. We're off to have fun, so I hope nothing melts down while we're gone. EDIT: Repackaged as 1.2 to get rid of an outdate version of the Google Checkout module. See http://drupal.org/project/uc_google_checkout for more info. |

This is a quick announcement about something you've probably already noticed... the Uberteam is headed to Hungary August 22-31 to hang out in Budapest and have a rockin' good time at Drupalcon Szeged. If you haven't signed up, there's still plenty of time... and the prices are cheaper the earlier you do. So, we'll be presenting at least three sessions in Szeged: |

Announcing the most fun you haven't had yet this summer! The event is still in the planning stages, but we're keen on setting up an Ubercamp for the weekend of July 25-27. We know it's short notice - only three weeks away - but we're going to do our best to make it happen, make it fun, and make it fruitful. To get started, we need folks to head over to the Ubercamp thread and RSVP so we can gauge interest and nail down our plans. |

That's right folks, the 1.0 is running free. Catch it if you can! So... the release of Ubercart 1.0 for Drupal 5 has finally arrived. We can't believe how far the project has come from its initial Alpha release 15 months ago. Even more, we can't believe how much the community has grown! Releasing code is an achievement, but getting to work together with cool people from around the world on such a fun project is a joy. Thanks go to all you testers, bug fixers, CSS masters, contributors, and users who have made this release possible. Thanks also to the development team for putting it all together and making sure development can happen. You can grab your copy of Ubercart from our project page and start selling with Drupal today! |

That's right! It's finally here, delayed by the site redesign and a week's worth of work to make sure you and your customers are more secure. TR pointed out before how we'll never get to a 1.0 if the code base is a moving target, and I agree. We're looking to let the code mellow and fix any remaining bugs that pop up and move on with development. Exciting stuff. |

Robert Douglass recently reported on a few new themes for Drupal, one of those being Pixture. We've been trying to figure out how to take our community site to the next level in terms of usability and project promotion, and Pixture provided an excellent launchpad for the endeavor. |

That's right, folks. Not content to have a third release candidate, we traveled into the future to grab the RC 4 and bring it back to the present for your enjoyment! (In actuality, some outdated modules crept back into the RC 3 release that had to be removed... hence the version hopping) This update brings with it many fixes that have been posted by community members that we just could not have found in our testing. Your input has been invaluable, and it shows as more and more the questions in the forums are matters of configuration mix-ups and not of errors in the source. |
