What is a Bounty?

In the spirit of rebuilding the site, I have snagged this raw cache and reposted it. I chose to try and bring back this message firstly because I still have a rather poorly defined bounty offer on the table. I admit that the ball is in my court to create a clear spec that can be addressed. Never the less. Ubercart needs our support, if only so they can rent a backup service!!! Sticking out tongue

This post appears to be the item/index page for the bounties topic. I don't have time to rebuild it in a single sitting, but here is the data with minimal massaging. If you are a bounty poster, you might want to refresh your offer. If your offer was fulfilled or withdrawn, let me know and I'll remove it from the list. As of now, all links on this page are probably broken.

Original Data:

Are you willing to pay someone to implement a feature? Say so here.

What is a Bounty?:

A bounty is a reward or incentive offered by a member of the community for implementing an Ubercart feature. The incentive is usually money, but it could be whatever you think we will be willing to code for. A CD, computer monitor, 56" wide screen HDEF DLP, or Ferrari would work well. Peanuts, bananas, or Celine Dion tickets probably would not.

Why offer a bounty?:

You can do it to support the Uber-developers, to insure that a feature is implemented the way you want in the time frame you want, or to get rid of any excess cash you have laying around.

configurable_shipping_options_and_catalog_based_tax_rules

Bounty 1:

My client site will need configurable shipping options, namely "Regular Mail" (USPS first class), "FedEx" (for expedited services), and "Local Pickup" (at 2 different locations). It'll be best if it's just a module where we can define shipping options, and how much each shipping option adds to the subtotal.

How much would it take to build such a module, and how long would it take? The new site is ready to launch in 2 weeks, but while this shipping module is essential, it can wait a little bit before we implement it.

Bounty 2:

-Product Name -Manufacturer name -Product Url -Image URL -Price -Categorization -Description -Shipping Cost or Weight -UPC (if applicable) -ISBN (if applicable)

The problem i forsee is description and Categorization. How much would this cost to develop?

http://www.ubercart.org/forum/bounties/1259/stock_indicator_product_vari... Without using Ubercart i'm not sure if this is possible but we'd like to provide a custom stock indicator for a number of product variations.

It needs to be rendered as a series of images, so using gdlib probably (see a mock up image attached) to create the little images for each size?

So there are two variations of a t-shirt design - guys and girls. Then each of these variations combines with the t-shirt size (running across the top). Under each "Buy" link is a bar which represents the stock level. If its solid blue then the stock is over 10 (or another defined amount).

Here goes:

I really like Ubercart, but in order to make it a viable option for my bookstore's site, I have to be able to import and export any data inside custom product classes CCK fields. For example, the "book" class has fields for subtitle, authors, pages, format, and so on. Ideally, the module would be able to import/export data to/from .xls spreadsheets, .csv, and tab delimited at the very least. If you can make it handle excel-generated XML, so much the better

As the store has over 10,000 items, and adds about 100 new items a week, the module should be sturdy. Ease of use is also important, as the intended end-user is your average $12/hr wage slave.

Hope that made sense! Look forward to hearing from you Smiling

I too like Ubercart. Import and export are very important to make it a viable option to your bookstore's site. Excel generated xml are much better for these type of sources.
